Race Description

Cross county race utilizes 15mi of beautiful well maintained Oak Mountain State Park trails. Starting and finishing at the south trailhead, participants go through some of the iconic trails such as SlingShot, Room Service and Jekyl before completing Johnson's Mountain, and Rattlesnake.

Course Description:

Beginning near the main trailhead with an open-road start to filter out the group before jumping on the wide and flowy Lake Trail.  After meandering through Seven bridges trail to SlingShot Trail.  Then you will find a tough climb to begin Room Service trail to traverse across the mountain and begin descending down Jekyll trail which offers roller-coaster flow in most sections with short climbs in between before making your way back to the starting line.

Check-in & Number Plates

  • Packet pickup/check-in begins at 7:00am at the venue. 

  • Number plates are to be fixed to the front of the bike on the handlebars. These numbers contain a timing chip, this plate does not need to be returned following the races. 

General Event Rules & Guidelines

  • Warming up is not allowed on any course while races are in progress. Use designated warm up areas only

  • Do not change clothes in public, please use restrooms

  • Public urination is not permitted at any venue, failure to use designated restrooms could result in disqualification and removal from the venue

  • Pick up after yourselves! There are trash cans available at each venue, littering will not be tolerated.

  • Race officials reserve the right to disqualify or relegate riders for violating the above rules.

Insurance & Sanctioning:

This event is insured with the same level of coverage offered through typical USA Cycling sanctioned races. The event is NOT sanctioned by USA Cycling and licenses are not required to participate. While the event is not sanctioned, USAC rules and guidelines related to racing will be observed to ensure consistency with other race events across the region. Any changes or deviations from standard USAC rules will be explicitly stated on this website.
